The Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors, NIQS, Ekiti State Chapter, has indicated interest to partner with the federal government on the implementation of federal projects in the state.
This was stated during a courtesy visit to the Controller, Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development in Ekiti State, TPL Olaniyi Akinlolu.
The State Chairperson of NIQS, QS.Dr. Olubunmi Ade-Ojo said the visit is geared towards strengthening partnership and leveraging on opportunities for the implementation of the recently approved 800 housing units for the Renewed Hope Estate in the state.
On his part, the Controller appreciated the gesture describing it as timely and stressed that the ministry is short of professional staff, especially quantity surveyors.
Akinlolu promised to collaborate with NIQS in the state towards ensuring the success of their projects.
