EKITI NURTW CHAIRMAN BECOMES TOURISM AMBASSADOR

...pledges more support for Governor Oyebanji

Ekiti State Bureau of Tourism has awarded Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, in the State, Chief Joseph Falope as Ekiti Tourism Transport Ambassador.

The award was presented to Chief Falope by the Director General, Ekiti State Bureau of Tourism Development, Ambassador Wale Ojo-Lanre during this year’s World Tourism Day held at Oroke Ewo Tourism site, Ilupeju, Ekiti.

Ambassador Ojo-Lanre said the award was presented to Ambassador Folope known as Oloforo due to his leadership style, peaceful co-existence among the drivers Union in the State and commended his efficient and reliable services for residents and tourists.

He went further to say that the NURTW boss was given the award based on his tremendous achievements recorded in moving the transport sector forward in the State.

In his remark, Ambassador Falope appreciated Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji for giving him the platform to serve residents of the State, pledging that members of the drivers unions would continue to be loyal to the governor and support him beyond first term in office.

He hailed the organizers for deeming it necessary to bestow upon him such an honour saying that the award will push him to continue to exemplify good leadership not just to his members but the entire people of the State.

According to him, “Well, I thank you people for this wonderful award, truly I can’t even say much about this award. I want to use this medium to pass out a message to my Junior colleagues to always do good in whatever position they find themselves.”

The Ekiti State NURTW Chairman used the forum to appreciate the Chairman Advisory Committee of the Drivers Unions in the State, Chief Dele Owoju for his unrelenting support and thanked members of NURTW who graced the occasion.
