The chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURWT, Ekiti State, Mr Osho Farotimi has alerted security agents about the plans by some drivers to allegedly cause mayhem in the state.
According to him, the drivers who were allegedly known for criminal activities are planning to distrup the existing peace of the state in the name of taking over parks.
In a statement in Ado Ekiti, Mr Osho Farotimi known as Osopolo, alleged that the concern drivers have mobilized themselves with the aim of attacking him and leaders of the NURTW urging the security agents to take necessary action to stop them.
He noted that the call became imperative due to the consequences of such evil act alleging that the concerned persons were calling for his head because he supported the candidature of Oyebaji and gave moral support to the present government.
He called on the security agents to be at alert to check the drivers with a promise not to take laws into his hands having sworn to an oath of peace with the Ewi of Ado Ekiti.
He appealed to governor kayode Fayemi to call those people to order, saying there should not be any crisis after the Saturday peaceful election.
As at the time of this report, the police is yet to confirm the authenticity of the allegation.
