EKITI NURSES WARM UP FOR ANNUAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE

Activities lined up for the annual scientific conference of the Nigeria Association of Nurses and Midwives, NANM, Ekiti state council will commence on Wednesday with presentation of keynote address by the Vice Chancellor of Achievers University, Owo, Professor Omolola Irinoye.

A statement by the Chairman, Planning Committee, Mr Sesan Orolu says the programme will take place at Nurses cooperative hall Afao road, Ado-Ekiti begining from 9am.

The programme continues on Thursday  with medical outreach for elderly and expectant mothers at Ikogosi-Ekiti civic centre and Erijiyan town hall simultaneously.

According to the statement, there will be Jumat thanksgiving on Friday at Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital Mosque and church thanksgiving service at Methodist Cathedral of Praise, Old Unique Hospital Area, Similoluwa, Ado-Ekiti.

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji is the Special Guest of Honour, his wife , Dr Olayemi is Midwives Ambassador of Ekiti State while the Chairman of the Occasion is the Senate leader, Representing Ekiti Central Senatorial District, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele

Other dignitaries expected at the event are Speaker, Ekiti State House of Assembly, Right Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye, Ekiti State Commissioner for Health, Dr Oyebanji Filani and  the Ologotun of Ogotun-Ekiti, Oba Adesanmi Ademeso who is  the royal father of the day.

The Chief Host is the Chairman, National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives, Ekiti State branch.Comrade Kunle Oni.
