Ekiti NUJ Correspondents’ Chapel Gets New Chairman

Members of the Correspondents Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ekiti State has elected Mr Raphael Ogbonnaiye, as the new Chairman of the chapel.

In a release by the Secretary of the chapel, Mr Victor Akinkuolie, said the election of the new Chairman was conducted in line with the NUJ constitution and monitored by the NUJ Chairman, Mr Rotimi Ojomoyela,

The exercise was held during the monthly congress of the chapel held at the Old Governor’s Office, Ado-Ekiti

The position became vacant following the appointment of Mr Victor Oginje, as Special Assistant on Media to the Deputy Governor of Ekiti State.

In his acceptance speech shortly after the election, Ogbonnaiye thanked members of the chapel and promised to work for the interest of the chapel.

Ogbonnaiye, who is the Correspondent of the Daily Trust Newspaper, was the former Vice Chairman of the chapel. would serve for a period of seven months to complete the tenure present executive of the chapel.
