EKITI NUJ CONDOLES OSUN OVER KEKERE-EKUN’S DEATH

The Ekiti State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has commiserated with its Osun State counterpart over the death of one of its members and popular broadcaster, Taiwo Kekere-Ekun.

In a statement co-signed by the Council’s chairman, Comrade Kayode Babatuyi and the Secretary, O’Seun Ogunsakin in Ado Ekiti on Tuesday, the Ekiti Council described the death of Kekere-Ekun as an irreparable loss to the umbrella body for journalists.

The Council said the demise of the former Vice Chairperson of Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) in Osun State is a sunset at noon and an untimely departure in her prime.

The Union said Kekere-Ekun who until her death was a staff of Fresh FM had written her name on the sand of time as an eloquent Yoruba presenter of newspaper review.

The Union commiserated with the Chairman of Osun NUJ, Comrade Wasiu Ajadosu, the Osun State Council of the Union and the family of the deceased.

It prayed God to grant the deceased eternal rest and her family the fortitude to bear the loss.
