The Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ Ekiti State Council has described wife of the Ekiti State Governor, Erelu Bisi Fayemi as a liberator and messiah of the women folk.
This is contained in a message to felicitate the first Lady on the occasion of her 59th birthday which was signed by the chairman of the council, Comrade Rotimi Ojomoyela and the Secretary, Comrade Kayode Babatuyi.
The statement acknowledges the strides of Erelu Fayemi at educating women and girl child on their rights and also creating awareness that has reduced Gender Based Violence in the society.
It adds that the person of Erelu Fayemi and her leadership style has also encouraged more women participation in politics thus deepening the nation’s democracy.
The union prays God to continue to uphold the first Lady and grant her good health to celebrate many more years on earth.
