EKITI NSCDC PARADES FOUR CRIME SUSPECTS

…as one suspect rapes victim, circulates footage on social media

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Ekiti State Command has paraded four persons in connection with various crimes in Ado Ekiti metropolis.

Among the suspect is Samuel Balogun 23 years of Omisanjana area who allegedly raped a lady extort her and shared footage of the rape on social media.

According to the NSCDC Commandant, Adisa Agboola, the suspect was believed to have drugged the victim and raped her repeatedly after a short video of nude was taken without her consent.

He has been threatening her with the video and made several attempt to use the video to continue with his dastard act. The victim refused his sexual advancement and he later sent the video to social media channels.

Parading the suspects at the Counter Terrorism Base of the Command located along Afao Road Ado Ekiti, the State Commandant Mr Agboola Adisa Sunday who commended the efforts of the Counter Terrorism Unit, cautioned youths in the state especially ladies from toxic relationship with cultists and people of questionable characters with a call to others who want to seek greener pastures to think twice before landing in the Sahara desert.

Again Ojo Temitope 39 years, Alade Haruna 30years and Abiola Okedele were arrested along Oshodi Community in Ado Ekiti. The suspects were suspected to be Burkinafasso returnees who are specialized in trafficking people from Ado Ekiti to Burkinafasso.

The suspects are always in the habit of defrauding their victim with juicy work in Burkinafasso and collected huge amount of money from them in the name of seeking greener pastures without knowing that they are landing in another African country.

Various items recovered from them include a Burkinafasso Army uniform, International passport, bus ticket showing Burkinafasso bus ticket fare payment, charms, substance suspected to be cannabis sativa and other hard drinks.

The State Commandant explained that the suspects will be succinctly investigated before handing some of them to the relevant agency for further investigation and the rest will be made available for prosecution.
