The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Ekiti State Council has rejoiced with Hon. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, BAO for his victory at the Saturday’s governorship election.
In a statement in Ado-Ekiti, the NLC chairman, Comrade Kolapo Olatunde described the victory of Hon. Oyebanji in the election as well deserved.
Comrade Olatunde expressed optimism that with BAO at the helms of affairs, the state would experience unprecedented growth and development
He urged the governor elect to build on the achievements and successes recorded by his predecessor, Dr Kayode Fayemi so as to justify the confidence reposed in him.
The NLC Chairman also enjoined him to prioritize the welfare of workers through prompt payment of salary, payment of all entitlements and capacity training when he takes over the mantle of leadership.
Comrade Kolapo Olatunde who commended the people of the state for being peaceful during and after the election also praised INEC for conducting a credible poll.
