Ekiti NLC Chairman Rejoices With Workers On, Christmas, New Year Celebrations.

…seek improved welfare for workers

The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC Ekiti State Chapter has rejoiced with workers across the sixteen local governments of the State for witnessing Christmas and new year celebrations in good health.

In a statement in Ado-Ekiti, the State Chairman of NLC, Comrade Kolapo Olatunde appreciated God on behalf of the workers for been alive and healthy to witness the celebrations despite the economy and security challenges facing the nation.

He prayed God to continue to give them good health and understanding to perform better in the year 2023, saying there is a reword for hard labour.

The number one worker in Ekiti State appreciated governor Biodun Oyebanji for attending to the needs of workers and urged him to give more priority to the welfare of workers through prompt payment of salaries, leave bonuses, salary arrears and other entitlements.

He appealed to the governor to ensure payment of gratuities and pensions of the Retired workers so as to enjoy the fruit of their labour while alive.

Comrade Kolapo Olatunde appealed to workers to cooperate with the present administration and double thier efforts in the new year for the state to be rated high among others.

Comrade Olatunde therefore congratulated Governor Oyebanji and Deputy governor, Chief Monisade Afuye on the success recorded in the Tribunal, urging him to continue to extend hands of fellowship to former governor Segun Oni to move the State forward.
