Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress NLC Ekiti State, Comrade Kolapo Olatunde, has commended Governor Biodun Oyebanji for his outstanding efforts in promoting women’s development in the state.
Olatunde who spoke with newsmen in Ado Ekiti during an event organized by the NLC women’s wing to commemorate the international Women’s Day, praised Oyebanji’s administration for its landmark achievements in all areas of workers welfare, noting that the Governor’s efforts have been greatly beneficial to the people.
He congratulated women workers and urged them to continue to play their roles in ensuring a formidable labour force and harmonious working relationship.
He expressed delight with Oyebanji’s excellent performance, quality service delivery, and phenomenal development, describing his leadership as exemplary.
The NLC Chairman also thanked Oyebanji for prioritizing the welfare of workers and pensioners in the state through regular payment of salaries and other benefits.
Olatunde congratulated the Governor and Senate Leader, Opeyemi Bamidele for facilitating the establishment of the Federal University of environment in Iyin Ekiti, Ekiti State describing such development as a strong consolidation on economic development.
Olatunde said:”When it comes to the issue of workers, our Governor doesn’t joke with it, all the outstanding debt he met on ground, he settled everything, promotion has been going on seamlessly with backup payments.
While congratulating the Governor on the various multiple awards received, Olatunde celebrated Senator Babafemi Ojudu on the occasion of his birthday.
He described Ojudu as a true democrat whose impact in the development of the Nation can not be overemphasized.
