Ekiti, Lagos Collaborate on Public Transport

The Director General of the Ekiti State Transport Agency, Hon. (Barr.) Tajudeen Akingbolu, continued his consultation efforts with a visit to the Managing Director/CEO of Lagos Bus Services Limited, Dr. Idowu Oguntona. The meeting focused on exploring opportunities for collaboration and establishing a synergy to benefit both Lagos and Ekiti States.

In a statement after the visit, Hon. Akingbolu said, “I paid a courtesy visit to the Managing Director/CEO of the Lagos Bus Services Limited, Dr. Idowu Oguntona, today, and we jointly hit it off immediately on how to form synergy that would benefit both Lagos and Ekiti States.”

He commended Dr. Oguntona’s expertise, noting his invaluable advice. “Having been in the saddle since 2017, Oguntona has become an authority in the field and magnanimously gave us the nitty-gritty of running a modern government transport agency and expressed his willingness to support the Ekiti agency in any way possible,” he added.

Hon. Akingbolu highlighted that the establishment of the Ekiti Transport Agency reinforces Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s vision for the state.

“No doubt, the establishment of Ekiti Transport Agency has further laid credence to the foresightedness of Governor Biodun Oyebanji as the agency will bring succour to the challenges facing our people in the area of transportation,” he said.

This visit builds on the agency’s commitment to leveraging expertise and forging alliances across the South West to ensure efficient and sustainable transportation solutions for Ekiti State residents.
