A renowned unionist, Comrade Femi Ajoloko has been decorated with a prestigious award as Outstanding Unionist of the Year 2023.
Ajoloko who is the Chairman of Joint Negotiating Council, JNC, Joint Health Sector Union, JOHESU and Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria, MHWUN, Ekiti State Council was bestowed with the award by graduates of Mass Communication Department of the Osun State Polytechnic Iree under the umbrella of Mass Communication Alumni of Osun State Polytechnic.
The award ceremony was held on Thursday in Ado Ekiti during the Annual General Meeting and Reunion of the body which was hosted by Ekiti Chapter.
Presenting the award to Comrade Ajoloko, National President of the Association, Comrade Femi Salau, said the Labour leader was carefully selected having observed his antecedent as a unionist for a while.
According to him, Ajoloko has been so versatile, diligent and ever ready to fight for the benefit of workers without compromise.
He congratulated him and hoped that the award would spur him to continue to strive for excellence.
Receiving the award, Comrade Ajoloko appreciated the group for the honour and recognition saying the award had again lifted his spirit to do more for Ekiti workers.
Ajoloko noted that his passion for unionism was out of commitment to service and support for the voiceless adding that he would continue to serve the people with his last breath.
