EKITI HEALTH INSURANCE SCHEME PARTNERS C-19RM/RSSH Grant

Management of the Ekiti State Health Insurance Scheme, EKHIS has expressed its readiness to work closely with the Ekiti State Advocacy Team working on the C-19RM/RSSH Grant supported by Global Fund towards improving public access to Healthcare services in the state.

The General Manager, Ekiti State Health Insurance Scheme, EKHIS, Dr. Adetoye Olusanya Rufus stated this while receiving the Advocacy team in his office in Ado Ekiti.

Dr. Rufus commended the initiative of the Global Fund for mobilizing necessary support for health facilities in Ekiti.

According to him, there is need for massive awareness on the need for people to embrace the health insurance scheme describing it as a veritable platform for improved access to health care.

Earlier, the Coordinator, Civil Society in Malaria, Control, Immunization and Nutrition (ACOMIN), Sir Olu Ogunrotimi who led the advocacy team appreciated the management of the Ekiti State Health Insurance Scheme for the warm reception.

Sir Ogunrotimi welcomed the request of the scheme for a partnership saying all hands must be on deck to improve state of health facilities and patronage of the facilities by public.
