Ekiti Guber: Bimbo Daramola Casts Vote, Commends INEC, Police for Peaceful Process

Former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Bimbo Daramola, on Saturday cast his vote at his polling unit in Iree Ekiti, Ekiti State, commending the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC and security agencies for the peaceful conduct of the off-cycle governorship election.

Daramola, who represented Ekiti North Federal Constituency 1, voted early and observed the process before speaking with journalists at his polling unit.

He praised INEC for the early arrival of election officials and materials, noting that accreditation and voting commenced on schedule.

He also lauded the presence and professionalism of police and other security personnel deployed across polling units.

“The process has been peaceful and orderly so far. INEC officials came early, materials are intact, and security agencies are doing their job professionally,” Daramola said. “This is what democracy should look like — citizens voting without intimidation.”

The former lawmaker urged Ekiti voters to remain peaceful after voting.
