The Chairman, Emure, Ise/Orun and Ikere Communities Joint Security Committee, Elder Joseph Tunji Falana has recently bagged “Justice of the Peace Award” from Ekiti State Government through the Ministry of Justice at the Governor’s Office, Ado Ekiti.
The Ekiti State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Dayo Apata (SAN) while inaugurating the conferment of the Justices of the Peace on the 23 distinguished successful applicants, informed them of the tasks before them which was to drive the legal system at the grassroots, to promote and sustain peace at all levels. He enjoined them to make use of the trainings giving to them.
Ekiti State Governor, HE Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO) assured the Justices of the Peace (JPs) that the government would do everything morally and legally possible to make the State relatively peaceful through the support of the newly inaugurated JPs.
Elder Falana (JP) who spoke on behalf of other JPs while eulogizing Governor BAO as “First among equals” citing his magnanimity for the payment of the Seal and Certificates that was given to them.
He urged the new JPs to seize the unique opportunity of the good governance of HE Biodun Oyebanji to contribute their own quarter to the development of Ekiti State through peace making.
