The wife of Ekiti State Governor, Dr.Olayemi Oyebanji, has congratulated Mrs Olufunke Adesina for emerging as the Governor of Association of Traditional Wedding Engagement Coordinators of Nigeria, (ATWECON), Ekiti State chapter.
Dr. Mrs. Oyebanji in her reaction to the election, called for peace and unity among the new executive officers and members of the association while she pledged to support them.
She urged all members of the association to ensure that there is no rancour among their rank and file and encourage them to join hands together to ensure the progress of the BAO- led administration.
The newly elected governor of the association, Mrs. Olufunke Adesina, in her speech, thanked the state Governor for his support and promised that members of the association will continue to support the BAO- administration
She also promised to give the association a new sense of direction that will engender peace, unity and progress.
Earlier, the Gager’s Electoral Commission (GEC), had announced that a total of 169 members were accredited, to vote which was described as the highest so far.
In the election held on Wednesday, Mrs. Olufunke Adesina, polled a total of 148 votes as against 21 scored by her opponent, Mrs. Ajibola Ayodele.
