
…as Bureau of Civic Orientation continues sensitization tour of schools
Ekiti State Government has directed school principals to reintroduce the chanting of some old poems that promotes hard work, decency and omoluabi ethos on assembly ground on daily basis.
Director General, Bureau of Citizenship and Civic Orientation, Mrs Olawumi Famuyiwa gave the directive during a sensitization tour to cross section of secondary schools in Ado Ekiti.
According to her, such rendition will serve as guide for the students and encourage them to shun immoral activities.
She appealed to the students to focus on their studies and continue to uphold the Ekiti values.
Addressing the students, Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Ekiti State Council, Mr. Kayode Babatuyi advised the students to shun all social vices that could destroy their future.
Some of the schools visited are Anglican High School, Deji Fasuan School, Muslim College, AUD Comprehensive School just to mention but a few.
