EKITI FA CHAIRMAN, OLOWOREMO LAUDS GOVERNOR OYEBANJI’S INVESTMENT IN SPORTS

…seeks support for his re-election

The Chairman of the Football Association (FA), Ekiti State, Chief Olu Oloworemo, has commended Governor Biodun Oyebanji for his remarkable investment in sports development in the state.

Oloworemo, in a statement made available to newsmen in Ado Ekiti, affirmed that Governor Oyebanji has committed more resources to sports development, especially football, than successive governments in the state.

He praised the governor’s efforts in constructing a state-of-the-art indoor sports complex and renovating the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium, saying it’s a testament to Oyebanji’s commitment to leveraging sports as a tool for job creation and wealth generation.

According to him, athletes in Ekiti State now have access to modern facilities for their training sessions, and such development has improved their capacity to compete favourably with their counterparts globally.

The FA chairman appealed to sports stakeholders, administrators, and athletes to vote for Governor Oyebanji during the forthcoming election to give him more opportunities to consolidate on the gains he has made in sports.

Oloworemo explained that, aside from sports, Oyebanji has made remarkable successes in Health, Education, Tourism, Agriculture, and human capital development.

He said the only way to encourage the Governor to do more is to return him to office.
