The Ekiti State Commissioner for Arts and Culture, Professor Rasaki Ojo Bakare has sought the assistance of the Nigerian Union of Journalist, Ekiti Council towards publicizing the Ekiti State Festival of Art and Culture, happening on the 6th -to-10th of August, 2024.
The Commissioner disclosed this today during his advocacy call at the NUJ Secretariat today, saying there’s the need to fully mobilize and create awareness for the entire citizenry of Ekiti.
The commissioner emphasized the importance and the need to carry Journalists along, adding that the media is the biggest tool to creating awareness and publicity all over the globe.
The Commissioner urged the NUJ chairman to give him the opportunity to address journalists in Ekiti on Friday 7th June, 2024 at 9am in other to brief them on every activities of the festival.
Responding to the Commissioner, the NUJ chairman Mr Kayode Babatuyi assured the commissioner that the Union would mobilize its members for a walk around the city to further publicize and create awareness on the Art and Culture festival.
Mr Babatuyi noted that the Commissioner is a supporter of the Union and it is time to pay back his goodwill.
