Nigeria’s Problems are Man made…Atayero Reacts to Poor Economy
The Ekiti Baptist Conference of the Nigerian Baptist Convention on Wednesday bestowed an Icon of Faith Award on the Atayero of Aramoko Ekiti, His Royal Majesty, Dr. Olusegun Aderemi.
The award is one out of many received by the business mogul in recent time both within and outside the country.
The Atayero who could not hide his feelings was moved to tears as the leadership of the church decorated him in a glamorous occassion.
Speaking on the honour, the president, Ekiti Baptist Conference, Dr. Adeyinka Aribisoye said the award was in recognition of the humanitarian services of the monarch and his support for the church.
He hoped that the recognition would propel the Atayero to continue to do more towards the propagation of the gospel of Christ.
Dr Aribasoye who is also the Ekiti CAN Chairman worried over the state of insecurity in the country in which Ekiti is not an exception.
The CAN Chairman urged Christians to watch vigilantly as they pray, saying Christians can not just fold their hands and allow the criminals continue to kill them on daily basis.
In an interview, the Atayero of Aramoko Ekiti, Dr. Olusegun Aderemi expressed his joy over the honour saying it was unique considering the fact that it came from the church and his people.
He thereafter promised to donate a brand new vehicle to support the church.
Speaking on the poor economy in the country, Dr. Aderemi said the various challenges facing the country were man made because the leaders at various positions of authorities were more concern about their selfish ambitions and political gains not minding what people are going through.
He congratulated the Ekiti Governor-Elect Hon. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji on his election urging him to strive hard to sustain the economic growth of the state.
