Residents of Ido-Osi Local Government, Ekiti State are awaiting the results of the House of Assembly supplementary election conducted in three polling units in Ido Ekiti.
The results of the three units were cancelled during the last House of Assembly election held on the 18th of march due to violence
The three major political parties slugging for the Ido Osi constituency one are APC, PDP and SDP.
Speaking with some of the electorate, they expressed happiness on how people conducted themselves during the supplementary poll.
In an interview, the candidate of SDP in the election, Mr Muyiwa Fadahunsi said that he was not satisfied with the process, alleged that some of his loyalists were intimidated and defranchised.
However, the candidate of the APC, Mr Babatunde Faweku denied the allegation, saying he didn’t visit any of the polling unit.
During his visit to the poling units, Ekiti state commissioner of police, Mr Dare Ogundare said the election was peaceful, noting that all electorate were given equal opportunity to exercise their franchise.
Also, the representative of EFCC, Mr Eze Sunday said that poll was devoid of vote buying as nobody was arrested
Our correspondent who monitored the poll noted that security officers comprising police, NSCDC, EFCC and Soldier were on ground to ensure an hitch free exercise.
