…offers free PMS to commercial vehicle drivers, tricycle, okada riders
The lawmaker representing Irepodun/ Ifelodun Constituency 1 in the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Hon Femi Akindele has given back to his Constituent as he gathered Okada Riders, Roads Transport workers, Roads Transport Employees Association of Nigeria in Igede and Iyin Ekiti together to give them free fuel respectively.
Hon Akindele who was one of the earlier buyers of Petroleum Motors Spirit at Owesu Oil, Iyin Ekiti and Igorfem Oil & Gas filling station Igede Ekiti was besieged by countless Commercial Motor Drivers, Okada Riders and Tricyclers.
Addressing the Commercial drivers at the first port of call in Iyin Ekiti, the lawmaker appreciated the Drivers Union, Okada Riders and Tricycles in the area for their contributions, support and dedication to the government of the President of Nigeria, His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele and the Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji administration.
The lawmaker explained that “I cannot celebrate the Christmas and New year without involving you, I need to put you into consideration in this season, I have to take care of these people, I have been doing these constantly, describing them as strong pillars behind the success of the current administration in the state” he stated.
He reiterated the effort of the Senator representing the district at the National Assembly, according to him, you will recall that our Senate leader, Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele has distributed different types of vehicles to our people in the Ekiti Central Senatorial district early this year.
Though, I cannot buy vehicles as a state lawmaker, but I’m ready to complement the effort of the Governor and the Senate leader, who has earlier distributed Vehicles , Tricycles, Okada to the people, he commended them for their unquantified love for the people in the Senatorial district.
Reflecting on his achievements as lawmaker in the last seven years, he said the gesture has been a routine, apart from the quarterly Constituency Engagements as enshrined in the legislative agenda of the Seventh Assembly.
At Owesu Oil filling station Iyin Ekiti and Igorfem Oil & Gas filling station Igede Ekiti, he reaffirmed his dedication and commitment to the welfare of the people in the Constituent as the gesture would be the ninth times that he will give out free Fuel to the Commercial Motor Drivers, Okada Riders and Tricycles in the Constituent within the last seven years.

of Hon Akindele Yuletide PMS support at Iyin and Igede Ekiti expressed happiness on the gesture, speaking at the event, the Chairman National Union of Roads Transport workers, Mr Akinrotimi Busuyi, his counterpart in the Roads Transport Employees Association of Nigeria, Alhaji Kilani Oyebanji.
Others who could not hide their joy were the Chairman Okada Riders Association in Igede Ekiti Morounmubo Sunday, some Okada Riders and the Chairman APC, Igede Ward C applauded the lawmaker for putting their love at heart, particularly during this yuletide season, and for the inclusivity in the administration of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji.
The Union leaders said the PMS support given by the lawmaker would go a long way in this season, they as well used the occasion to solicit for more government intervention, promised not to renege their support for the lawmaker and the Governor, each Okada riders were given 3 litres, while Motor drivers and Tricycles got 5 litres each.
