Ekiti State All Stars International has won this year’s edition of this year’s edition of the Southwest Zonal Championship played in Ibadan Oyo State.
Ekiti will now represent the Southwest in the nationwide veteran competition scheduled to hold in Benin, Edo State before the end of this year.
Ekiti defeated Ogun and Ondo All Stars, and played s draw against Lagos to emerge the over all winner of the competition.
The central back of the team Taiwo emerged the best player of the tournament.
In his remark, president of the Ekiti All Stars team, Dr. Sola Afolayan thanked God for the victory and acknowledged the support of all members of the association.
Also the chairman, Board of Trustee, Chief Olu Oloworemo commended the agility and professionalism displayed by the players and hoped that the team would win the National competition.
