Ekiti ADP Governorship Candidate Erelu Elebute Halle Joins APC

The Governorship Candidate of the Action Democratic Party, ADP, during the 2022 election, Erelu Elebute Halle has announced her decision to dump the party to join the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

Halle made this known in Ado Ekiti at the ADP secretariat in Similoluwa, Ado Ekiti while unveiling the new Chairman of ADP in Ekiti State, Mr. Ayodeji Ojo.

Speaking at the ceremony, Erelu  Halle affirmed that the new Chairman had served the party diligently for eight years adding that she can attest to his ability to take the party to an enviable height.

According to her, her decision to leave the party was a personal decision having X-rayed the last election and consulted widely with stakeholders.

She affirmed that she got invitation from many party but noticed that a lot of them are after her money, saying APC is a family that cares and Governor Oyebanji has shown her love and respect beyond expectation.

Halle noted that APC celebrated her and supported her during her father’s burial just as she opened up that she is not interested in struggling for the ticket with Governor Oyebanji.

She said “I decided to join APC because of the love I have received from Governor Oyebanji and because I believe in the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“I am leaving but not leaving you, I will be ready to support you at any time you need me, I urge you to remain United and work hard to sustain the party.

“I am one of the major financier of ADP and I will continue to support the party irrespective of whether I stay or leave.

She urged them to join hands with the new Chairman to build the party and make it stronger.

Members of the ADP including the chairman appreciated the efforts of Halle to the growth of the party saying she will be well missed.
