Ekiti 2026: No Amount of Blackmail Can Stop Oyebanji’s Victory …Bimbo Daramola

A former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Bimbo Daramola, has appealed to the people of Ekiti State to disregard all social media blackmails against the incumbent Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, describing it as the last kick of a dying horse.

Daramola, who represented Oye-Ikole at the National Assembly, explained that the recent attacks were sponsored by political enemies who never meant well for the state and the people.

According to him, Governor Oyebanji has served Ekiti diligently and delivered on his promises in the areas of health, education, infrastructure, tourism, economy, and human capital development.

Daramola, who is also the convener of the monthly wellness walk tagged BAOwalk, highlighted some of the Governor’s achievements, including the construction of over 350 kilometers of roads across the 16 local government areas, completion of the Ekiti Agro-Allied International Cargo Airport, renovation of schools to quality standards, youth empowerment, free healthcare under the Ulerawa health insurance scheme, construction of a 100-bed space at Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, improved security, and regular payment of salaries and gratuities, among others.

The lawmaker affirmed that the impressive achievements of Governor Biodun Oyebanji in the health sector necessitated the introduction of BAOwalk so as to complement what the governor is doing by ensuring that people take their health serious and engage in precautionary activities.

He added that, though much still needed to be done, Ekiti is still doing excellently well compared to other states of the federation.

Daramola noted that Ekiti is among the few states that have implemented the ₦70,000 minimum wage when some states are yet to pay the ₦30,000 minimum wage.

The former lawmaker pleaded with the people of the state to come out during the election and vote for Governor Oyebanji to secure a landslide victory.
