Eid-el-kabir:Celebrate with Modesty, Pray for Nigeria…Ekiti NULGE Urges Muslim Workers

The Leadership of the Nigeria  Union of Local Government  Employees NULGE, Ekiti State Chapter has congratulated muslim workers in the State particularly local government staff for the grace of Allah that sustained their lives to witness another Eid-el-Kabir.

This is contained in a statement by the State Administrative Council SAC, State Executive Council SEC and personally signed by president of the union, Comrade Oluseyi Olatunde.

Comrade Olatunde said there is every reason for faithful to be happy and celebrate the season considering the various evil occurrences that happened around the nation.

He said:” I am happy to see my members alive to celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir,  it is not by their power but by special grace of Allah.

“This is why I am rejoicing with them and I pray God to grant them the blessings of the season.

Comrade Olatunde urged the Muslims to pray for the progress of Nigeria, protection of workers and end to Insecurity.

“According to him, the current state of insecurity and economic downturn in Nigeria requires divine intervention since all human abilities and knowledge have failed.

The NULGE president also urged workers to use the break to relax so as to resume work after the break with refreshing energy to do better.

While commending the present government for its best at making life easy for workers, Comrade Olatunde affirmed that much more still needed to be done to meet up with workers’ demands.

He also stressed the need for government to devise more pragmatic means to end the high rate of crime in the society saying workers are always vulnerable in any unsafe society.
