The leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress NLC, Ekiti State has felicitated with residents of the State, especially Christian workers on the celebration of this year’s Easter.
In a statement in Ado Ekiti, the Chairman of NLC in Ekiti State, Comrade Kolapo Olatunde appreciated God for given SAC, SEC and other members of the affiliated unions the grace to witnesss this year’s Easter in good and sound health.
Comrade Kolapo wished Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji and all government functionaries happy Easter celebrations.
The NLC Chairman used the forum to advise workers to use the period of the celebration to pray to God for progress and development of the State, and as well exhibit the lessons of the season in their daily activities..
According to him, there is need for well meaning individuals in the society to extend hands of fellowship to the needy as we celebrate the death and restoration of Jesus Christ
Comrade Olatunde who appreciated the disposition of Governor Oyebanji to the welfare of workers urged him to ensure that all outstanding salaries, leave bonuses, pension arrears and gratuity are continually given positive attention.
