Easter season is set aside to appreciate God’s love for mankind explainable in the sending of His Son, Jesus Christ to live, show how to love one another and, bear burden of humanity by laying down His life for the remission of their sins.
Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, Oba Adeyemo Adejugbe stated this in his message to Christians on the celebration of this year’s Easter.
According to him, the true meaning of Easter is about Jesus Christ’s love for mankind and the purpose and peace he gives.
Therefore, the monarch called on all Christians to show love to people around, care for the needy and ensure peaceful Co-existence in line with the spirit of the season.
He also urged everyone to look beyond the hardships of the moment and draw strength from faith that things will get better in the Country.
The traditional ruler who pointed out that crimes in the country are on the high side called on the Christians and religious leaders to continue to pray for an end to incessant killings in the Society.
Oba Adejugbe wished all and sundry a happy Easter Celebration, prayed for the renew of faith, joy that has no end and God’s peace and love to rest upon everyone.
