The leadership of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE, Ekiti State has directed it’s members who will benefit from the just approved
90% Consolidated Health Salary Structure (CONHESS, 100% Hazard Allowances and implementation of 2020/2021promotion not to give money to anybody or group of people in form of appreciation or whatever.
President of the Union, Comrade Oluseyi Olatunde who gave the order in a statement made available to newsmen in Ado Ekiti said such demand was illegal and against the principle of unionism.
Olatunde explained that the approval of these major benefits were divine and also the making of His Excellency , the Executive Governor of Ekiti State Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji ( Mr. Talk and do). Hence, no one should lay any claim to the approval thus requesting for appreciation fee.
He said: I have been reliably informed that some persons have been asking those who benefited from these CONHESS, Hazard Allowances and 2020/2021 promotion implementation to start sending some returns to them.
“The union did not at anytime approve such money, hence I am calling on my people not to give money to any person or group of person making such unlawful demand.
The union is known for integrity and will not engage in any act that could tarnish it’s image.
Comrade Olatunde appreciated Governor Oyebanji for the approval of the various allowances and promised that the union would continue to cooperate with his administration towards his dream of shared prosperity in Ekiti State.
