…mandates Company to Engage indigenous sub-contractors, traders
The Director General, Ekiti State Bureau of Local Content, Mr. Olalekan Ijidale has met with top management of China Construction Company (CCECC).
The meeting which was at the instance of the DG was aimed at encouraging the company to engage local workforce, Suppliers, Contractors, Sub- Contractors, Vendors in Sub contracting especially on the proposed construction of perimeter fence at Airport yard .
Ijidale informed the management about Governor Oyebanji’s commitment to the development of Ekiti State through patronage of Indigenous vendors and traders and inclusion of Local Workforce in contract award and execution.
According to him, the initiative was part of government’s plans to boost the economy of the state, increase IGR, provide job opportunities, reduce capital flight and decrease crime rate just to mention but a few.
He said:” On the construction of perimeter fence of the Airport yard, we have indigenous contractors, Artisan, Suppliers, Vendors who had duly registered as Contractors with the Bureau of Local Content, they are capable of execution of the project, we want them to be engaged by the major contractor handling the job.
