Despite Criticisms, Chef Dammy Proposes another 150-hours Cook-aton Challenge

… As NUJ Ekiti Affairms Hope For GWR Certification.

Damilola Adeparusi, popularly known as Chef Dammy, has revealed that she will be embarking on another 150-hour cook-a-ton challenge despite criticisms encountered in the just concluded 120-hour challenge.

She made this known at the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ Secretariat in Ado-Ekiti today, during an interactive session with the press .

The chef who revealed that the next challenge would be taken off by next month, asserted that, the 120-hour cook-a-ton was just a test on her skill and level of endurance to make her fit for the next challenge.

She said, ” I know there have been many speculations about me not registering this just conciuded challenge, I and my team have decided to embark on a new challenge next month following the supports I have received from fans, well wishers and many highly notable individuals in the society.

“I Adeparusi Damilola popularly known as Chef Dammy and my team have decided to hold another Cookathon programme next month.This time, it will be held for 150 hours and it will be duly registered with Guiness World Records. Chef Dammy is coming back, ” she added.

Also, the Chef disclosed that official steps have been taken towards ensuring the effectiveness of the new tour as due registration with Guinness World Record, GWR is in progress.

Speaking on the financial implication of the just concluded 120-hours cook- aton challenge, Damilola revealed that the entire process was sponsored by her Pastor, Prophet Jeremiah Adegoke of the Spirit Word Global Mission and some members of the Church.

“During the 120 hours cook-a-thon which lasted five days, a lot of things happened to me. There have been many discussions and rumors ongoing about the Pastor of Spirit Word Global Mission Church who is also my manager, pocketing all of the funds that have been coming in to
me. The question we should ask is how I got to set up everything for myself. People only noticed the money coming in, but failed to ask how the programme was funded. This programme was fully funded by my pastor and some few members of my church,” she said.

In line with this, the Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalist, NUJ, Lion Rotimi Ojomoye, represented by the Secretary of the Union, Babatuyi Kayode, urged Chef Dammy to be steadfast in her pursuit for the next challenge, affairming hope to see the record brought to Ekiti.

He said, ” Let us be aware before embarking on your new challenge, endeavour to bring the conventional media to your self. Let us as the media guide her properly to follow due processes. I am certain that with this, we canbring the trophie to Ekiti. “
