A Magistrate court sitting in Ado Ekiti, presided over by Magistrate Abayomi Adeosun has granted bail to a human rights lawyer, Dele Farotimi in the case of defamation against against Aare Afe Babalola
Conditions attached to the bail include a thirty Million Naira bond, two surety of responsible character in which one of them must have a landed property in Ekiti among others.
Adjourned till February 13th 2025
Farotimi was arraigned for allegedly publishing a book “Nigeria and it’s Criminal Justice System where he alleged that Aare Afe Babalola corrupted the Judiciary and procured judgements in the supreme court there by exposing him to hatred, contempt, ridicule and damage his hard earn career.
