CSOs, NUJ Condemn Attack on Christian School in Plateau State

There has been a wide range of condemnations to the recent attack on a Christian School in Gwom Nding village, Barkin Ladi local government area of Plateau State where armed Fulani herdsmen invaded the Christ the Redeemer School and two staff members were killed and several other persons seriously injured.

In a statement made separately to newsmen, in Abuja, a group known as Goldheart Foundation and the Nigeria Union of Journalists described the attack as unnecessary.

They called on government to take action and bring the perpetrators to book.

According to them, Nigeria belong to everyone and there is freedom of association hence to group should impose their will on the other.

They sympathized with the Head teacher Ogunrinde Olufunbi Ojo whose house was burnt and mother killed by the extremists.
