Christ’s School Ado-Ekiti 1994/2000 Set Announces Grand 25th Anniversary Celebration

The 1994/2000 Set of Christ’s School, Ado-Ekiti has unveiled plans to mark its 25th anniversary, celebrating a quarter-century of shared growth, achievements, and enduring bonds.

According to the Planning Committee, the celebration will run from Wednesday, 3rd to Friday, 5th December 2025, and continue from Saturday, 27th to Sunday, 28th December 2025 in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.

Founded in 1933, Christ’s School remains one of Nigeria’s most respected secondary institutions, renowned for producing prominent figures across education, governance, business, science, and the arts. The 1994/2000 “Millennium Set” has sustained this legacy through contributions to national development and ongoing support for the school community.

In a statement obtained by Roundoffnews.com, the anniversary will open with courtesy visits to leading media organisations in Ekiti State on Thursday, 4th December. A major highlight follows on Friday, 5th December, with a symposium to be delivered by the Chief Executive Officer of the Adolescent Friendly Research Initiative and Care (ADOLFRIC), Prof. Babatunde Olofinbiyi. That same day, scholarship awards will be presented to academically outstanding students of the school.

The celebration continues on Saturday, 27th December with a dinner and award ceremony at Dexambrial Hotel. Several former principals, senior staff, and teachers will be honoured, including former Commissioner for Education, Hon. Kehinde Ojo; former Vice Principal, Mrs. C. M. Fagbeiro; former Year Tutor, Mrs. F. A. Owoeye; and former Geography Teacher, Pastor (Dr) J. K. Alebiosu.

Festivities will conclude on Sunday, 28th December with a Thanksgiving Service at Emmanuel Church Cathedral, Okesa, Ado-Ekiti.

Chairman of the Anniversary Planning Committee, Mr. Fatai Tiamiyu, described the milestone as “a time to give back, reconnect, and reflect on how far we have come since our formative years at Christ’s School.”

The event is expected to draw members of the Set from across Nigeria and abroad, alongside school authorities, government officials, and distinguished alumni such as Hon. Bimbo Daramola and Barr. Ade Ogunmiloyo.

The Set noted that the anniversary serves not only as a celebration of time but also as a reaffirmation of Christ’s School’s core values of Faith, Knowledge, and Service.
