Christmas: Olive Grange Foundation Donates Educational Materials, Others to Orphanage Homes in Ekiti

A non-governmental-organisation, Olive Grange Foundation for Children and Community Empowerment, OGF, has donated educational materials and essential supplies to orphanage homes in Ekiti State to celebrate the Christmas season.

The initiative began with outreach to 500 primary school students in Ado-Ekiti, where they were gifted with Christmas presents and a visit from Santa Claus.

During the tour, OGF visited three orphanages: Mosadoluwa Orphanage & Elderly Home, Heart of Dorcas Orphanage, and Delightsome Oaks Orphanage in Ado-Ekiti.

The foundation provided essential supplies, including 180 notebooks, three cartons of detergent, three packs of biscuits, three packs of juice, three cartons of noodles, and three packs of pens and pencils.

Mrs. Ogunleye Mojisola, the Ekiti State Treasurer of the Association of Orphanages and Homes Operators in Nigeria (ASOHON), praised OGF for its outreach to vulnerable children during this festive period, highlighting the warmth of their surprises.

Dr. Aderonke Oshungbohun, Executive Director of the Olive Grange Foundation, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to bring the love and joy of Christ to the children at the orphanages.

She said: “As a Christian charity, our mission is rooted in reflecting God’s love and compassion. This visit allowed us to fulfill that calling.

“Thanks to the generous support of donors and volunteers, the foundation provided not only gifts and food but also moments of fellowship, reminding the children that they are deeply cherished and not forgotten.”

The event featured joyful activities, storytelling, and a time of prayer and reflection on the birth of Jesus Christ—the greatest gift of all.

OGF aimed to instill a sense of hope and belonging in the children, emphasizing the message that Emmanuel—God with us—is present in their lives. As 1 John 4:19 reminds us, “We love because He first loved us.” In this spirit, OGF is dedicated to continuing the mission of spreading God’s love wherever it is needed.
