BLACK SUNDAY IN EKITI AS ACCIDENT CLAIMS THREE CHURCH MEMBERS

A bus belonging to St. Mark’s Anglican Church, Ise Ekiti, was involved in a ghastly accident resulting in the death of three person’s while others sustained various degree of injuries.

The accident happened on Sunday morning when occupants of the bus mostly women, were on their way to Ado Ekiti to participate in an annual enrollment service.

Reports said that the accident happened at Afolu after Ise Ekiti when one of the bus tyres bust and the driver lost control of the vehicle which somersaulted several times.

Three of the women were said to have died on the spot.

Among the deceased were an Evangelist who just got wedded few weeks ago and also the wife of former Ise/Orun local government Chairman, Hon Adegbola while others who sustained injuries were rushed to the hospital where they are currently receiving treatment.

The Anglican Bishop of Ekiti, Rt. Rev. Andrew Olusola Ajayi in his reaction commiserated with the families of those that lost their lives and St. Mark’s Anglican Church, Ise Ekiti and prayed God to heal those injured.

Speaking with newsmen, the Chairman of Ise Local Government, Hon. Bamikole Ayodele, mourned the deceased.
