…seeks more Government presence in Agric Sector
The Nigeria union of Agriculture and Allied Employee NUAAE, Ekiti State has joined others unions and prominent Nigerians to felicitate with Governor Biodun Oyebanji on his well deserved award bestowed on him by the Management of Daily Independent Newspaper as Best Governor of the Year
In a statement in Ado Ekiti, the State Chairman of NUAAE, Com Ayodeji Francis Ojo explained that the Governor’s style of leadership and his contributions to grassroots development earned him the prestigious honour among his contemporaries.
The NUAAE Chairman noted that nomination of Governor Oyebanji for the award was not an overdue nor misplaced priority but an outcome of good governance which he had displayed since his first day in office
Com Ojo said that the contributions of Governor Oyebanji to advancement of Agric sector, education, economy, infrastructural development, youth and women empowerment was second to none, saying the award was given to who is due for it.
According to him, Mr Governor has changed the narative of workers of Ekiti State toward political offfice holders through his robust welfare packages, prompt payment of salaries, payment of backlog of salaries and pension few to mention.
“You are indeed the real omoluabi of our time and home based politician who knows where the shoe pinches the people”
Com Ojo therefore called on the governor not to relax in his bid to ensure food security in th State through provision of loans to farmer and engagement in tractorization farming method.
