Benue State Government has assured the people of its commitment to step up the process of boundary demarcation between Konshisha and Oju local government areas of Benue State.
Recall that roundoff news media had reported about a mutual clash that occurred in Benue State some time ago.
This was done in order to find a lasting solution to the boundary dispute between the two local government.
The Deputy Governor of Benue State, His Excellency Barr. Dr. Sam Ode, who is also the chairman of
Benue State Boundary Commission said government would revisit the long-standing boundary issue between the two local governments to strengthen peaceful co-existence among the affected communities.
Dr Ode, made this known recently when he received members of the igede consultive forum in his house in the state capital.
“Boundary demarcation is the only solution to the lingering crisis between the two local governments. And in doing so, I promise you that I will be fair and just to both sides, because I have no vested interest in the matter”, he said.
