Basorun Faeji hosts party to celebrate Oyebanji’s inauguration

The Basorun of Mobaland, Otunba Adedayo Faeji, on Friday hosted a celebration party at his residence in Ado-Ekiti to mark the inauguration of Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, for a second term in office.

The event attracted members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and other political associates, who gathered to celebrate the governor’s return to office. Food, drinks, music and dancing added colour to the occasion, with the host and other party members joining in the celebration.

The event also featured the announcement of Faeji as the patron of the Ekiti State chapter of the APC National Integrity Movement (ANIM), in recognition of his support for the group and its political activities.

Speaking at the party, Faeji said he and his family returned from Dublin, Ireland, specifically to attend Oyebanji’s inauguration, citing the governor’s performance and their confidence in his administration.

He expressed optimism about the governor’s second term, saying his administration had earned their support.

Presenting the recognition on behalf of ANIM, the Chairman of Ado-Ekiti Local Government, Chief Bosun Osaloni, described the new grand patron as a worthy choice, noting his commitment to Ekiti State and Nigeria.

Osaloni commended him for his contributions and encouraged him to sustain his support for the state and the country.

The Ekiti State Coordinator of ANIM, Chief Peter Obatoye, said the movement selected Faeji because of his character and consistent support for its activities, particularly its efforts towards Oyebanji’s re-election.

He added that the movement had shifted its focus to the re-election of President Bola Tinubu, expressing confidence in Faeji’s continued support.

Also speaking, the wife of the host and Yeye Basorun of Mobaland, Anu Faeji, expressed support for Oyebanji’s administration, praising its empowerment initiatives and expressing optimism that the governor’s second term would deliver greater benefits to the people of Ekiti State.
