The chances of Governor Biodun Oyebanji to rule Ekiti State for another four years has received a boost as a group called “BAO Agenda 2026” has inaugurated State and local Governments Executive Members that will continue to propagate the good works of the governor across the sixteen local governments of the State ahead of his re-election.
Speaking at the inauguration held in Ado-Ekiti, the coordinator of BAO Agenda 2026, Hon Moshood Lawal urged mebers of the group and the newly inaugurated excos to continue mobilzing members of the APC, especially party excos ahead of the primary so that BAO can be the only candidate of APC.
Hon. Lawal explained that BAO Agenda 2026 group is one of the most viable and recognized groups working towards the re-election of Governor Oyebanji.
According to him, Governor Oyebanji deserves re-election due to his commitment to welfare and development of the state as well as members of the party.
“We are supporting him because he knows where the shoe pinches us, hence the need to throw our support behind his future political agenda.”
On his own, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor, Hon Femi Aduloju, who doubles as the Secretary of BAO Agenda 2026 confirmed that necessary arrangements have been put in place to ensure that the group achieve its aims and goals of working towards the success of the re-election of Governor Oyebanji.
Hon. Aduloju urged members of the group to embark on rigorous mobilzation for the second term of Governor Oyebanji, saying their contributions towards the re-election of Governor Oyebanji would further showcase the group.
He noted that prominent members of the party such as Secretary of the State Government, Dr Habibat Adubiaro, Senator Yemi Adaramodu, Hon. Jide Awe, Erelu Kemi Elebute-Halle, Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Chief Monisade Afuye are part of the group.
Hon. Aduloju explained that the governor has also done well in the area of road construction, payment of workers salary and pensioners gratuities.
In an interview, some of the newly inaugurated members of BAO Agenda 2026 including Director of the group, Hon Adebusyi Ebenezer and the Publuc Relations Officer, Ms Yewande Aribasoye promised to work in line with the group’s directive and ensure that Governor Oyebanji becomes the only candidate of the party during the forthcoming election.
After the inauguration, BAO Agenda 2026 went ahead to distribute fuel to hundreds of commercial motorcyclists in the State to cushion the effect of economic hardship on them.
