

….Supervises Finals of Essay Competition Organised for Students by Ekiti Branch
The National President of the Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools (ASUSS), Comrade Sola Adigun, has confirmed that the union is committed to building future scholars that will put the nation on the global map.
Sola Adigun spoke in Ado‑Ekiti after supervising the finals of the essay competition in English and Mathematics organized by the Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools (ASUSS), Ekiti State Chapter, for students across the state.
The National President explained that the competition, which had become an annual event, was aimed at inculcating a reading culture in students so as to prepare them for a better future. According to him, the examination will be marked by experienced teachers without any bias or prejudice.

Adigun noted that the best students would receive scholarships, while runners‑up would also be awarded cash gifts. In addition, the schools of the best students would be gifted items that could be useful for other students.
He encouraged students to give their best to their academics and desist from activities that could destroy their future.
The examination was thoroughly supervised by executives of the union under the leadership of the National President, Comrade Sola Adigun.
Some of the students appreciated the organisers for the exercise, which they said had challenged them to read more.
The best students will receive their prizes at the gala night of the union scheduled for the *10th of December 2025
