Ace Broadcaster, Mr. Gbenga Olaniyan, has emerged the new Chairman of the Association of Nigeria Broadcasters (ANBROAD) Ekiti State Chapter.
In an election conducted in Ado Ekiti yesterday, Olatomide Feyisayo emerged the Vice Chairman, Tope Ademoye, the General Secretary, Abegunde Ayobami – Auditor 1, Bamidele Elizabeth – Welfare Officer, Aransiola Adebayo – Organizing Secretary, Jaye Oke – Financial Secretary, Dayo Adegbite – Assistant Chief Whip, Ojo Awogbemi – Assistant General Secretary and Tijani Omo Abubakar (Akuko Anabi) – Treasurer.
Others are Ajibade Oloruntoba who emerged the Publicity Secretary, Adekunle Oluwafemi – Assistant Publicity Secretary, Mr Adebayo Odeyemi – Ex-Officio, and Gbenga Oriyomi – Chief Whip.
The National Officers elected, are Evang. Bayo Famoroti – Financial Secretary and Mr Omolade Bolarinwa – Assistant Organizing Secretary.
In his acceptance speech, the new chairman, Mr. Gbenga Olaniyan said that his main goal is to encourage the members of the association to make a difference in their profession and that he would like to be someone who inspires members to be more involved in the activities of the association.
He urged those who are leaders, to reach out, encourage and mentor those who have passion to move forward and that they should bring professionalism to the job among the members, to be unique Broadcasters.
Mr. Olaniyan also promised to take the association to greater level through his other team members.
He then thanked the outgoing Acting Chairman, Mr. Jegede Kayode ,for the present success which would not have been possible without his leadership and for all contributions for the little time his team was at the helm of affairs of the association.
