Another set of executive members that will pilot the affairs of Association of National Accountants of Nigeria, ANAN,Ekiti state Branch for the next two years has been elected.
The election of the new executives of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria was conducted during the Annual General Meeting AGM of the association held in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti state capital.
Swearing in the new executives the national president represented by vice Chairman Branches and Benevolence committee, Dr Tonye Richard-Apiri charged them not to engage in any activity that can tarnish the image of ANAN and work towards the development of the association in Ekiti State.
He also appealed to members of ANAN to upgrade themselves in all areas in order to be effective and well equipped with modern day ways of doing things
Taking oath of office, the new executive members promised to abide by the rules guiding their offices and justify the confidence reposed in them by members through robust representation.
The executives are Olori Olufunmilayo Esther Babalola, Chairman, vice Chairman, Mr Ifelola Olugbenga Secretary, Mrs Anike Adeyeye, Assistant General Secretary, Mr Lucas Afere.
Others are Dr Adedayo Ajala, Treasurer, Mrs Moturayo Ogundare, Financial Secretary, Ex-Officio One, Pastor Olusola Alonge and Ex-Officio two,. Mr Olatilu Olufemi and Social publicity secretary, Ayoola Owoeye.
In her acceptance speech, the Chairman, Olori Funmilayo Esther Babalola who is elected for the second term said alot were achieved during her first tenure such as creation of more units, dedication to members welfare, attending national programmes, saying she would build on the achievements.
She urged other qualified accountants in the state to join the association, saying there were different benefits for them being members of ANAN.
Most of the executives were returned on oppose while others were elected for another term due to their outstanding performances during their last tenure.
At the programme awards of excellence were presented to a former Chairman of the association, Pastor Olusola Alonge, Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti and Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido Ekiti for contributing to sustainability of Ekiti State Branch of ANAN
