The Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ Ekiti State Council has congratulated one of its members Mr. Tunde Akinlabi over his appointment by Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi as the secretary of Ido Osi local government.
In a statement in Ado Ekiti, NUJ chairman Com Rotimi Ojomoyela and the Secretary Comrade Kayode Babatuyi described the appointment as a blessing to the media industry.
The NUJ leadership affirmed that Mr.Akinlabi is a thoroughbred journalist who is indeed more than able for the task ahead of him.
They prayed God to to grant Mr Akinlabi the wisdom and understanding to succeed and justify the confidence reposed in him by the Governor and party leaders who have nominated him.
The union appreciated Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi for deeming it fit to appoint its member for such a prestigious position.
The statement reads:”We appreciate our media friendly Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi for yet another opportunity for one of our own.
It is not out of place to say that journalists enjoyed special preference in the government of Dr. Fayemi and this is marvelous in our heart.
God will continue to bless the Governor and grant his heart desires.
