Condemns Disruption of Exercise by aide to former Chief of Staff, Biodun Omoleye

A leading aspirant for the seat of Ekiti Central Federal Constituency two on the platform of the All Progressives Congress APC, Mr. Dele Philips has condemned the disruption of the primary election held in Aramoko Ekiti describing it as embarrassing to the party and the state.

Dele Philips who said he was already leading with wide margin before the ugly incident by the agent of the former Chief of Staff, Hon. Biodun Omoleye appealed to the party leadership to declare him winner of the poll.

Philips who spoke with newsmen in Ado Ekiti said the election was disrupted by the agent of the chief of staff having sense defeat.

He said “My people love me, they voted for me in large number, it was obvious I already won the election as this was evident in the ballot papers scattered on the floor, I won the election and should be declared winner”.

He added “This is really embarrassing, I do not understand why an agent of a losing aspirant will disrupt an election involving everyone.

“My greatest concern was how he was protected by security agents and such was an attestation that he had the backings of some powerful functionaries of government.

“Election was free and fair in other places, but ours was different because an unpopular candidate wants to force himself on us and that we will not take.

Others who spoke called for the arrest of the agent to the former chief of staff8 so as to confirm to the world that APC is a party of discipline.

According to Chief Ebenezer Adebusuyi, the agent of one of their opponents took decorum into the wind when he realised that the margin was already wide.

Similarly, other party leaders who spoke during a protest at the party secretariat in Ado-Ekiti condemned the act which he said is capable of costing the party victory at the forthcoming governorship election.

Mr. Leye Olaoluwa urged the party leaders to correct the impression created by the former aide to chief of staff to GOVERNOR and challenged followers to stand with the leading contestant, Mr. Dele Philips who he said is capable of creating a new orientation in terms of socio-economic and political development of the Constituency.
