More controversies have continued to trail the forthcoming primary elections of the All Progressives Congress APC
The process of the election has been criticized by several persons while few protests have been recorded regarding the exercise in which aggrieved members raised several allegations ranging from imposition of candidate among others.
Addressing a news conference in Ado Ekiti, one of the aspirants contesting for the seat of the Ekiti Central Federal Constituency One Sunday Ola alleged that the delegate list for the election scheduled for Friday had been doctored in favour of an aspirant.
According to Ola, the state and its citizens may continue to be subservient if the right persons are not allowed to hold elective positions through the right system.
He called on the National leadership of the party to intervene and right the wrong in the interest of the party and the state at large.
His word “I must say up till now as an aspirant we don’t have our delegate list and we have just less that 24 hrs to the primaries as against the party’s constitutional.
“I want to confirm to you based on all evidence at my disposal that the delicate list had been manipulated just to favour aspirants who didn’t take time to campaign or reach out to people while we were moving from outhouse to town and villages to convince our party members and showcase what he have for them.
We don’t even know who is voting for us we don’t know what to do, how do you convince voters when you don’t even know who is involved?.
“All I am asking for is a fair deal if any one lose then the person walk away but when the process is manipulated there will be reaction because I am a man of justice and will always take my time to get justice.
“If you are in the system and afraid of election it shows something is wrong Ola said.
Meanwhile, the aspirant called for the review of the party leaders involved in the primarily election saying some of them have compromised standard.
When contacted, the APC chairman in Ekiti State, Mr. Paul Omotosho affirmed that Mr Ola met him and demanded for delegate list and he told him that the request was beyond the state executive members .
Omotosho denied the allegation that the list was doctored saying it was the delegate appointed by the National Secretariat that conducted the congress which produced the delegate list and only the national can release the list.
He said the leaders are for everyone and had no preferred aspirant.
