…doles Out Food items, Cash Gifts to Empower 300 Residents

Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ipole-Iloro community, ward 007, Ekameta Local Council Development Area of Ekiti State have commended the Ekiti state Governor,Biodun Oyebanji saying that the policy thrust of his administration has been of immense benefit to all and sundry in the State.
The Political class, including notable people and other residents of the community who on Sunday converged at a strategic location around the town in their thousands, said they came for solidarity with the Governor on his second term bid and to declare their total support towards realizing his ambition.
The convener of the strategic meeting, Hon. Olusegun Ibironke, Special Assistant to the Governor on mobilization VI, while addressing the mammoth hinged their support on what he called the Governor’s tremendous achievements in the area of infrastructural development, peace and tranquility across the state, as well as Agriculture and rural development, exemplified in his six pillar roadmap of his administration.
Ibironke charged the people to acquaint and familiarize themselves with the six pillars of Oyebanji’s developmental agenda which he said represented the government’s plan to fast track socio economic development of the state especially in the Agriculture sector.
Ibironke who explained that he has been giving-back to the society, even at a time when he was not in political position, re-echoed the Governor’s directive, which he said mandates all political appointees to return to their hometowns and wards, to engaging with their communities and providing support wherever possible, adding that his resolve to carry out the gesture was in adherence to the Governor’s directive.
“My philosophy right from early childhood is that everybody should be afforded the legitimate opportunity to be able to fend for themselves and sustain their economic wellbeing”. He stressed.
The special assistant to the Governor who noted that the state government has subsidized seedlings for farmers by 50% also urged the people of the agrarian community to contact the office of the Governor through him for hybrid seedlings to plant in order to have a bumper harvest from their farms, stressing that the state government has made tremendous efforts at ensuring farmers in the state are not lacking in that regards.
“I urged all our farmers, especially the youths who are able and agile to embrace this window of opportunity in farming, as farmers can no longer be underated in all sector of the economy, let’s get involved deeply in the window of opportunity provided by the state Governor in order to contribute to the growth and development of the state, as well as putting food on our tables”. He said.
While speaking on the free heath mission of the Governor, Ibironke announced to the people that the state government will soon commence the free surgical mission, which he added was aiming at ensuring all minor ailments ravaging the people are treated by the teams of medical personnel engaged by the state government without taking a dime from any citizen, he urged them to embrace the opportunity.
“I’m delighted to share with you the remarkable efforts of our Governor towards providing free healthcare and free surgery to every citizen of Ekiti State, this is a testament to his unwavering commitment to the well-being of our people. I urge you all to take advantage of this incredible opportunity, as our Governor is deeply passionate about improving the health and quality of life of our citizens”.
The high point of the occasion was the distribution of food items and cash gifts to the Youths, women’s wing and Elders forum.
In an interview, Barr. Busuyi Ayorinde, an APC stalwart commended the Governor for what he termed his giant strides in all spheres of the state economy, while appreciating the Special assistant to the Governor on mobilization for consider it necessary to give back to the people, adding that he was deeply stunned by his philanthropic gesture within the little time he was appointed by the Governor, while tasking him to keep the flag flying.
On his part, Organising Secretary of the party, Isaac Fayeba also lauded the initiative of the political appointee while noting that he has been going about providing economic prosperity for his people and ensuring that the needed dividends of democracy were delivered at their doorsteps.
“He has been living up to the expectations of the people especially in the area of empowerment, so as to reduce poverty among them and to enhance the socio economic growth of the area” .
The Special Assistant who also paid homage to the traditional ruler of the town discussed matters of public interest where the monarch, Oba Ezekiel Oladele lauded the Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji’s positive impact on the community.
The event had in attendance, past and present political office holders, public servants and crème de la crème of the society who joined Hon. Olusegun Ibironke at the epoch making event.
