A middle age suspected robber identified as Loni this been killed following a mob action in Ilesa.
Loni, according to an eye witness account, was apprehended by vigilant residents and passersby at ireti Ayo while trying to whisk away a motorcycle he allegedly snatched from an unsuspecting bikeman in the area in the late hours of yesterday.
Confirming the incident a police source at the Ayeso A’ divisional headquarters of the Nigeria police said the suspect whose body has been deposited at the morgue of the Wesley Guild Hospital Ilesa was a known unrepentant robber with many criminal records bothering on bike snatching.
Report indicates that the residents launched a manhunt for the lone robber after an intelligent gathering which reveals where he hid the motorcycle.
