Amotekun Arrests Man for Threatening Farmer With Gun in Ekiti

Operatives of the Amotekun Corps in Oye Local Government Command, Ekiti State has arrested a 31-year-old man, named Babatunde Moses over alleged stealing and threats to life.

This was contained in a statement by Officer Adeleye Abiodun Adewale from the headquarters of Amotekun TRG/Dev Devt.

According to the statement, the suspect, who was arrested on Wednesday, 4th September, 2024 is an indigene and resident of Itaji-Ekiti.

The statement reads: “Information unveiled that, the suspect encroached on the farmland of Mr. Adeleye Emmanuel at Ayegbaju-Ekiti and stole his farm produce (nutmegs), natively known as “Ario”.

“It was equally revealed that the suspect was threatening the man who is a farm owner and his son with a locally-made pistol loaded with bullet.

“The suspect has therefore been handed over to the police RRS in Ado-Ekiti, even with the exhibit recovered from him for further profiling.”
